It's really not so expensive to call friends outside of the U.S. You can either go totally free with a slight delay at times or an echo with Skype (who else do I know out there with an account other than MDT? email me) or use 10-10-987, the old-fashioned telephone way. My mom called us from Cincinnati for the duration of an hour and it was only around $3 with no loopholes or tricks. She's used it everytime since.
This isn't a petition for people to hop to it and get on the horn with me. I'm just spreading the knowledge.
