Photojojo pointed me to this Japanese application that turns your photos into these old-timey photos. It's as simple as uploading a photo and clicking the blue button underneath your choice. Et voila.
Unfortunately these expressions did not look old worldly enough to make the cut, but give you an idea of the "before" quality:
